Membrane Test System (MTS) (Scribner)

The 740 MTS is intended for studying new ionomers and solid electrolyte materials. It offers rapid and accurate measurements of membrane resistance and conductivity as a function of temperature, humidity and pressure without a need of catalyzing a membrane and preparing a membrane-electrode assembly. The size of a membrane sample that is necessary for a measurement is 6X30 mm.

Laser cutting technology enables cutting complex shapes without the need for tooling. During the laser cutting procedure, there is laser beam used to cut different materials like plastic, wood, rubber, etc. The technology also can be used for marking and engraving. The laser cutter is equipped with 60W power laser and a standard 2 inch focusing lens, the average size of a focus point is 0.127mm. High-Power Density-Focusing Optics (HPDFO) lens that gives much smaller focus point (0.025mm) is also available.

The Nitrogen Relative Humidity Chamber is equipped with a non-scanning Kelvin Probe, which is a non-contact, non-destructive vibrating capacitor device used to measure the work function of conducting materials or surface potential of semiconductors. Gas-Chromatograph (GC) – Agilent 7890A

It is used to analyze and identify volatile substances in the gas or liquid phase. The GC is equipped with TCD and FID detectors as well as CTC auto sampler unit and a controlled valve system for continuous sampling.
